Alison Lewis, an 11-year , is the
Founder and
Editor-in-Chief of
"Healthy Travel", a U.S and International Travel Magazine which launched in print and digitally in March 2013. For 10 years, Alison has been conceptualizing this magazine, and now, she has made it a reality. Alison is in charge of every area of the magazine from story concept to execution, photography, design, writing and social media.


Previously, Alison was an Editor and Recipe Developer on the Food Staff at Southern Living Magazine and Oxmoor House books by Time, Inc. She attended culinary classes at the Culinary Institute in New York and Greystone, California and has a degree in advertising and marketing. She left Southern Living (her dream job) to pursue a career as an entrepreneur and stay at home with her young children. She quickly doubled her income her first year and gained experience in travel, fitness and health journalism, speaking, television, radio, blogging, social media and more. Alison is a busy mom of three children, an avid runner, tennis player and huge fan of travel, yoga, kayaking, hiking, paddleboarding and photography. Her blog,
Ingredients, Inc., combines all of her passions: food, travel, fitness, healthy living, nutrition and photography.

Alison completed Professional Media Training from the Lisa Ekus Group in 2008, and she has a wealth of television cooking experience, appearing regularly on NBC 13 Birmingham’s “Daytime Alabama”, CBS 42 Birmingham, Fox 6 Birmingham, “Talk of the Town” on Channel 5 Nashville, and CBS 46 in Atlanta. She is also a monthly radio guest on WMJJ Magic 96.5 in Birmingham and various other radio shows across the globe on healthy food and healthy travel ideas. She is also a popular Speaker at conferences, to entrepreneurs, teens, corporations, women's groups and children’s groups. She also teaches cooking classes to children in her spare time.
